Not content with snatching a purse, two men attempted to run over a lady in Elk Grove yesterday afternoon.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, the 36-year old female victim was walking to her car on the 8400 block of Elk Grove Blvd. when she was approached by an unknown suspect who grabbed her purse and ran to a waiting car being driven by another unknown suspect. When the victim attempted to stop the vehicle as it was approaching her, the driver accelerated the car and stuck her before leaving the scene.

The victim did not require medical attention at the scene and responding officers were unable to locate the suspect or get-away car.

The suspect who stole the purse is described as a black male adult, 6’0” tall with a skinny to medium build and was wearing a black shirt or hoodie with a black baseball hat on backwards. The driver is described as a black male adult, who was wearing a baseball hat.

The vehicle involved was described as a late 90`s to early 2000`s gold Toyota Camry with gold lettering on the trunk. Officers did obtain a possible license plate from witnesses and will be conducting follow-up.
