Elk Grove Police were able to recover a stolen iPhone following what was suppose to be a late-night sales transaction.

According to police reports, the 46-year old male victim arranged to meet a potential buyer from a Craigslist posting for his iPhone at approximately 11:30 last night on the 7500 block of Laguna Blvd. While the victim was holding the devise, 20-year old Robert Cotton of Sacramento allegedly grabbed the phone and drove away.

The victim followed Cotton and called EGPD who were able to conduct an endorsement stop. Upon contact the suspect was positively identified and arrested. The iPhone was recovered and the suspect remains in custody on $50,000 bail.
