Rambo Meets with Supporters at Fund Raiser

With family and numerous supporters present, Elk Grove Unified School District Trustee and Area 6 candidate Jake Rambo held a family fund raiser Saturday night.

Rambo, who was appointed to the school board last Spring and is seeking election to the Area 6 seat held his event at Elk Grove's Steve's Pizza was joined by over two dozen supporters including current fellow school board trustees Bobbie Singh-Allen and Al Rowlett.

Among the supporters on hand was Dr. Mary Ritter, M.D. along with her husband and three children. Ritter, a graduate of Elk Grove High School said she has known Rambo through his long involvement with that highs school's mock trial team of which she was part of.

"He really puts the needs of the students first," Ritter said. "He has convictions and does the right thing."

Rambo is being challenged by Steve Ly in what is becoming a highly watched local election. Although the race in non-partisan, Rambo has secured many prominent Republican endorsements while Ly has the backing of local Democrats.
