A pedestrian was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday evening.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, the 28-year old male victim was walking near Sheldon Creek Drive and White Peacock Way when he was approached by two male teenagers who asked to borrow his phone. As the victim dialed the number, one of the two suspects pulled a handgun and demanded the phone.

The victim complied and dropped the phone on the ground. After one of the suspects grabbed the phone, both fled the area on foot.

The first suspect was described as a Black male juvenile, 17 or 18 years of age, 5`6" tall, with a medium build and shoulder length dreds. The second suspect was wearing a black baseball cap and an orange jacket and was was described as a White male juvenile 13 or 14 years old, 5`0 to 5`3" tall with a slender build.

All these recent stories of
"muggings" makes me wonder if it is safe in Elk Grove. Makes me really sad. I think it's time to move.
