Instead of attending class yesterday morning, three Elk Grove teens were arrested on suspicion of a home burglary.

According to Elk Grove Police, three male suspects, one 17 and two 16-years old, were observed walking near Bellaterra Drive and Whitleock Parkway carrying bag and shopping bags during school hours. Upon contact, the backpacks and bags were found to contain electronics items and personal property not belonging to the suspects.

While officers were detaining the three suspects, a call for service regarding a residential burglary in the 10000 block of Pombal Ct. came in. The resident provided officers with a description of the items stolen from the residence.

Officers were able to confirm that the three suspects were in possession of property stolen from the Pombal Court location. The suspects were taken into custody then transported to juvenile hall.
