Teen Pistol Whipped in Elk Grove Park

An Elk Grove teen who responded to an advertisement for the sale of an Apple iPhone 5 on Craigslist, was assaulted late yesterday afternoon in an Elk Grove Park.

According to police reports, the 17-year old male agreed to meet an unknown suspect at Miwok Park on Village Tree Dr. after responding to a Craigslist posting for the sale of the phone. When the victim declined to purchase the phone, a second unknown suspect emerged from the park's restroom armed with a handgun.

When the victim attempted to flee, the second armed suspect hit the victim in the back of his head with the gun resulting in a laceration.

The two suspects fled the area in a black 2003 or 2004 Ford Focus with chrome rims that responding officers were unable to locate.

The first suspect described as a black male, 20’s, with facial scars, short hair and a cast on his right arm. The second suspect was described as a black male, 20’s, bald, with facial scars, 5’5”, medium build with a black hooded jacket, blue jeans and was armed with a handgun.
