A Sacramento man was arrested yesterday morning after he threatened two people with a handgun in an Elk Grove parking lot.

According to Elk Grove Police, the male and female victims were parked in a car on the 9100 block of East Stockton Blvd. when they were approached by the suspect, 25-year old Stephen Young, who is an acquaintance. Young then reportedly retrieved a handgun from his car and made threats.

The two 27-year old victims then drove to their Sacramento residence where the suspect followed them and continued to make threat and brandish the handgun.

Responding officers were able to locate and detain Young. A probation search of the suspects residence led to the discovery of a loaded magazine.

Young was also arrested for an unreported robbery (October 2012) that had taken place in Sacramento County involving one the victims. He remains in custody at the county jail.

Is it just me, or do we seem to have a rise in brazen crimes recently?

I wonder how what EGPD has to say about all of this?

EGPD is busy watching out for people doing Hollywood stops. The only time you see an officer out of a unit is when they are giving someone a ticket or eating in a restaurant (with 3 other officers). Wake up EGPD, it's a new day in our fair city!
