An Elk Grove parolee was taken into custody early yesterday evening after being tased and charged with with domestic violence and false imprisonment.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched after 38-year old Larry Galacia of Elk Grove had reportedly kicked open a front door and was making threats causing two victims to be fearful for their safety.

The two victims had locked themselves in a bathroom and responding officers contacted the suspect who reportedly refused to comply with their commands. The suspect continued to make threats to the victim in the officers presence.

In an effort to take Galicia into custody, an officer used pepper spray.  The suspect disregarded the officers instructions and continued yelling and banging on walls.

An officer then deployed a taser and as a result of the taser deployment, the susepct complied with the officer's instructions and was taken into custody. Officers also determined that yesterday on Monday the suspect had choked and struck one of the victims in the face several times and held her inside the residence against her will.

The suspect is being held in county facilities on parole violations.
