A person seen tampering with a street light near Franklin Blvd. and Whitleock Parkway arose suspicion early Thursday morning resulting in his arrest.

According to Elk Grove Police, 35-year old Jeremiah Michaud of Sacramento was reportedly seen tampering with the street lights. Responding officers observed the suspect leave the area in a white Ford pickup truck and made a stop.

Upon contact officers observed Michaud  in the possession of various tools and wire remnants in the pickup bed. A records check also revealed there was a felony warrant for his arrest and he was on probation. 

A search led to the discovery of several segments of street light wires and bolt and wire cutters. The suspect was arrested and taken to the county jail where he remains in custody.
