Elk Grove Police Find Empty Shell Casings After Shots Reported

Empty casings were all Elk Grove Police could find after responding to reports of gunshots early Monday morning.

According to police reports, officers responded to Oakley Way and Stonebrook Drive after receiving reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located several shell casings on Stonebrook Dr. starting north of East Park extending to Lyndley Plaza in the northbound lanes of traffic.

Officers conducted a neighborhood canvas but were unable to find any physical evidence indicating that anyone or anything were struck. A white or tan sedan may have been involved.
