The Sheldon Community Association, in partnership with the
Elk Grove Food Bank, will host a free Arts and Crafts Fair on Sunday, September
29, from 12- 5 p.m. in the El Dorado Savings Bank parking lot at 8973 Grant
Line Road.
The purpose of the Fair is to benefit the Food Bank, raise awareness
of the uniqueness of the rural area and highlight many of the talented artists
and craftspeople from the region.
Over 45 vendors have reserved spaces to showcase their products. Kid’s activities, food, music, and wine and beer tasting are also scheduled.
Donations of unopened packages of socks or non-perishable food items are welcomed. Those making donations or purchasing tickets for wine, beer or ice cream will receive a raffle ticket.

Event coordinator George Murphey promises the event will be fun and a great
opportunity to visit and explore Elk Grove’s rural community with those who
make it a special place to live and work.
“A huge thank you goes to our sponsors, Bravo’s Sandwich Shop, The Wrangler Bar, Sheldon Feed and Leatherby’s Ice Cream," Murphey said. "They helped make this event a reality.”

Uh oh, a certain elected person might be feeling upstaged!
This is an A-political event. No elected officials were harmed in the planning of this event. Our event is open to the public and everyone is invited to bring an un-opened package of socks or underwear or a non-perishable food item for the EG Food Bank. We will have local vendors, local sponsors and local businesses supporting the Sheldon Heritage Fair. We'll be on Grant Line Road across from Bert's Diner this Sunday, Sept 29 from noon-5.
Leave the nay-sayers at home...come enjoy the rural community for the afternoon.
Yes, come enjoy the delightful enclave of Sheldon before that too is wiped off the map.
Why do people on this site always need to be so negative?
