Shots Fired in Elk Grove Medical Marijuana Armed Robbery

Gunshots were fired during the armed robbery of medical marijuana in Elk Grove yesterday morning.

According to Elk Grove Police, the 27-year old male victim had placed a Craigslist ad for the sale of one-and-a-half pounds of marijuana and arranged to meet the supposed buyer on the 4700 block of Elk Grove Blvd. After examining the marijuana, the unknown suspect walked to his vehicle and brandished a handgun.

After threatening the seller with the gun, the robber fired one round into the air, took the marijuana that was valued at $2,600 and fled northbound on Franklin Blvd. in his vehicle that was described as a gray 2000 Dodge Neon. 

The suspect was described as a black male adult, 20's, 5'10", 180 lbs., wearing a black baseball hat with a gray puffy jacket and using the alias of Mike. The victim was not hurt.
