A man suspected of throwing a bong towards an Elk Grove Police officer and resisting arrest along with a man brandishing a large hunting knife were arrested early Friday morning.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the 8600 block of Spring Azure Way regarding a noise disturbance. Upon arrival officers observed 21-year old Alton Bruner holding a glass bong.

Bruner reportedly ran up the driveway, raised the glass bong as if to throw it at officers then threw the bong on the ground breaking it. When officers attempted to place Bruner under arrest, he threw an elbow at an officer`s head.

Bruner and the officer fell to the ground during the struggle and Bruner was able to make his way into the garage where 23-year old Dylan Knott of Sacramento and three other people were. Knott reportedly pulled out a large hunting knife and displayed it at the officer who was still fighting with Bruner.

Bruner was eventually arrested as was Knott without incident. Both suspects were taken to the county jail where they remain in custody.
