The race for Elk Grove's District Four City Council seat gained one more possible entrant yesterday.
According to information posted on the Elk Grove City Clerk's page, Charles S. Shanks filed a candidate intention statement on Wednesday morning. Shank listed his party affiliation as Democratic.
In 2012 Shanks drew papers for the city's first ever mayoral race, but did not run.
