As part of the third annual Sacramento Food and Film Festival, a screening of the documentary movie "Beer Wars" will be held tomorrow afternoon.

The screen will be held at the Sterling Hotel located at 1300 H St. in Midtown Sacramento and starts at 4 p.m.

Aside from a screening of the movie, guests will enjoy a sneak preview of locally renowned brewer Ruhstaller's new Nugget hop beer and will be able to wash it down with bites from noted chef Adam Pechal, soft pretzels from Freeport Bakery along with cheese and of course popcorn.

Tickets can be purchased here.

Aside from promoting the region's burgeoning farm-to-fork movement, proceeds from the Sacramento Food and Film Festival will benefit California Food Literacy Center, a Sacramento nonprofit providing food literacy education to local low-income children.

“We are proud to be the beneficiary of such a creative event that not only gives people the opportunity to enjoy the amazing food of the Sacramento region, but also helps spread food literacy through the creative medium of film,” said Amber Stott, founding executive director, California Food Literacy. “We look forward to good food and good conversations.”
