Suspected Car Thief Eludes Elk Grove Police

A man who was driving a stolen car eluded Elk Grove Police Saturday morning.

According to police reports, patrol officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was being driven erratically in a apartment complex near Kent Street and Elk Grove Boulevard. The suspect driving the car did not stop and led officers on a westbound pursuit on Elk Grove Boulevard.

The pursuit ended on 8800 block of Elk Grove Boulevard when the car was driven through a fence and crashed into a parked vehicle. The driver and passengers in the car fled on foot and officers were unable to locate the suspects who were described as Hispanic males in their 20's.
