Man Injured During Elk Grove Mugging

A man was injured during a mugging early last night in Elk Grove.

According to Elk Grove Police, the 35-year old victim was on the 9100 block of West Stockton Boulevard when he was approached by an unknown Hispanic male. The suspect punched the victim in the face resulting in a visible injury.

The suspect took the victim's cell phone and fled on foot. Responding officers were unable to locate the assailant.
