Bera Swears-in Elk Grove-South County Dem Club Officers, Comments on Recent Election

In a festive meeting of the Elk Grove-South County Democratic Club yesterday afternoon, the group's 2015 officers were installed by Democratic Congressman Dr. Ami Bera.

The club, whose membership grew substantially in 2014, elected new officers at their regular meeting on Tuesday, December 9. This year's leadership includes Dan Schmitt, President; Nancy Fox, Vice President; Debra Ladwig, Treasurer; and Joyce Lee and Sandi Russell, Co-Secretaries. 

Aside from administering the oath, Bera also commented on his hard-fought victory for California's Seventh Congressional District over his Republican opponent, former Congressman Doug Ose. Also accompanying Bera and commenting were California Assembly Members Ken Cooley of Rancho Cordova and Jim Cooper of Elk Grove.
