Elk Grove Police Arrest Validated Gang Member Packing Concealed, Unregistered Handgun

A validated gang member was arrested yesterday afternoon following a traffic stop by Elk Grove Police.

According to police reports, 24-year old Aaron Bryant Allen was operating a vehicle near Calvine Road and Short Road that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. A records search revealed the suspect was on probation and is a validated street gang member.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded, unregistered handgun concealed next to the driver's seat. Allen was arrested and booked into the county jail where he is being held on a $60,000 bail.
