Just as the skies turned dark late yesterday afternoon, a teenager was mugged in Elk Grove's East Franklin neighborhood.

According to Elk Grove Police, shortly after 5 p.m. the 14-year old male victim was walking on the 10000 block of Wild Orchid Way when he was tackled from behind by two unknown assailants. After the victim fell, the suspects went through his backpack and robbed his ear buds and cell phone.

Both suspects fled the area and were not located. The suspects were described as a white male juvenile, 17, 5'7", 180 lbs., with blonde hair, wearing a dark hooded jacket and khaki pants and a black male juvenile 17, 5'6", 140 lbs., wearing a dark jacket and dark jeans.
