Elk Grove to Host Budget Town Hall Meetings

January 21, 2014

With the city of Elk Grove more than half-way through its current fiscal year, and budget planning for the next fiscal year well underway, a series of town hall meetings are planned.

The purpose of these meetings is to inform the public about the city's budget planning process and gather public input on how financial resources for fiscal year 2016 are allocated. Three Town Hall meetings and an online question and answer session are scheduled to provide residents with an opportunity to talk with representatives from the City of Elk Grove.

The forums provide residents an opportunity to voice their thoughts on city programs, policies, and services that determine the City’s spending plans and priorities. A short presentation on the city’s budget and service priorities will be followed by a public question and answer session.

Each meeting will follow the same format, agenda and provide the same basic information. Budget Town Hall meetings have been scheduled at the following locations:

February 3
Camden Springs Retirement Community, Activity Room
8476 Sheldon Road
7 p.m.
February 4
City of Elk Grove Council Chambers
8400 Laguna Palms Way
6 p.m.
February 10
Wackford Community & Aquatic Complex
9014 Bruceville Road
6 p.m.
