Woman Robbed During Possible Staged Accident in Elk Grove

A 40-year old woman was robbed after what appears to be a staged car accident yesterday morning in Elk Grove.

According to Elk Grove Police, the victim was operating her vehicle on the 8600 block of Power Inn Road when she was rear-ended by a dark colored two door sedan. When the victim exited her vehicle, a passenger in the sedan that rear-ended her car reached into her car and grabbed her purse.

The victim grabbed onto her purse only to have it ripped out of her hands by the suspect. The suspect fled on foot and the car involved in the accident drove away. 

The suspect was described as possibly being a Hispanic male approximately 5`8" inches tall. The victim was not injured during the robbery.
