Elk Grove Police Arrests Woman Who Led Them on Slow-Speed Pursuit

March 25, 2016 |

A Sacramento woman was arrested last night after she led Elk Grove Police on a slow speed pursuit that ended in Sacramento's Arden-Arcade area.

The pursuit began in Elk Grove when police attempted to stop a vehicle being driving by 39-year old Nina Young (pictured above) on the 8600 block of Elk Grove Boulevard. When officers attempted to conduct a vehicle stop, Young allegedly did not yield and led officers on a slow speed pursuit.

The pursuit traveled northbound on HWY. 99 to I-80, then transitioned off of the freeway. The pursuit terminated in the Arden Arcade area.

When law enforcement contacted Young, she ignored numerous instructions to exit the vehicle and stayed inside her vehicle. Young was eventually removed from the vehicle by CHP officers, arrested, and taken to the county jail for booking.
