One Adult, Three Juvenile Suspects Arrested For Daytime Elk Grove Burglary

March 2, 2016 |

One adult and three juvenile suspects were arrested yesterday afternoon after they allegedly burglarized an Elk Grove residence.

Elk Grove Police officers were dispatched to the 9300 block of Moynello Court after receiving reports of a residential burglary. Officers were given descriptions of possible suspects and located a 13-year old female suspect from Elk Grove and 18-year old Jeremy Southern of Sacramento walking together a short distance away from the burglary.

Officers contacted Southern, who was in possession of a backpack and found to be on probation. The female suspect walked in a different direction and was approached by another officer.

A search of Southern's backpack led to the discovery of property stolen during the residential burglary. During the investigation, officers developed information regarding two additional suspects.

The other suspects, a 13 and 14-year old females from Elk Grove were located and contacted. Southern was arrested and booked into the county jail where he remains in custody on $10,000 bail.

The three female suspects were arrested and booked into juvenile hall.

Those kids are lucky.

They could have gotten shot if they broke into a house occupied by a hard of hearing or deaf homeowner would happen to own a handgun.
