Another Alleged Marijuana Grow Operation Busted in Elk Grove

Yesterday morning another alleged marijuana grow operation in Elk Grove and Sacramento was busted.

Detectives from the Elk Grove Police Department served search warrants on five locations in Elk Grove and Sacramento related to a criminal conspiracy involving an active indoor marijuana growing operation. Five suspects were arrested, and over 1,000 marijuana plants along with approximately one pound of processed marijuana were seized.

The five suspects, Shan Tong Zhou, 39, Xiu Fang Chen, 40 (pictured above), Zhi Guan Zhou, 65, Pan Wei, 34, and Jun Jain Li, 34 were processed at EGPD then transported to the main jail. All five suspects are held on $500,000 bail with a Friday afternoon arraignment but are not eligible for release.
