Dirt Motorcyclist Arrested After Hitting, Injuring Pedestrian on Elk Grove Trail

An Elk Grove man was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly hitting and injuring a pedestrian on his dirt motorcycle and then fleeing the scene.

Dmitriy Ryzenkov, 23, was operating a dirt motorcycle on a walking trail near the 8400 block of Elk Grove Boulevard when he collided with a pedestrian who suffered significant injuries that required treatment at an area hospital. Instead of aiding the victim, Ryzenkov fled the location on the dirt motorcycle and was later located by Elk Grove Police near East Stockton Boulevard and Valley Oak Lane.

Two witnesses were able to identify Ryzenkov as the responsible party. The suspect was arrested and booked into the county jail but was released on bail on Saturday.
