Monasky, Detrick Qualify For Respective Elk Grove City Council Races

According to information confirmed this afternoon by the Elk Grove City Clerk's Office, two candidates for seats on the City Council have been fully qualified by the Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections Office.

Those two candidate are Michael Monasky and incumbent Steve Detrick who are running for the Mayor's office and the District 3 council seat respectively. 

Monasky is one of six candidates seeking to replace outgoing Mayor Gary Davis for the two-year term and is the first to have their papers fully qualified.

In the District 3 race, Detrick joins challenger Vincent Neuburger whose nominations papers were qualified last week. This race also has one other candidate who has drawn nomination papers but not yet been fully qualified.
