Elk Grove Police Arrest Suspected DUI, Hit and Run Driver

An Elk Grove man was arrested late last night after he was allegedly involved in a hit and run collision.

Elk Grove Police officers stopped a vehicle being driven by 27-year old Zackary Ryan Tanner for a code violation near Melrose Avenue and Southside Avenue. Upon contact, Tanner allegedly displayed objective signs of impairment and failed a field sobriety test. 

Officers also determined that Tanner was involved in a hit and run collision that took place in a nearby parking lot. Tanner was arrested, booked into the county jail and has been released on bail.
