Man in Hoodie Robs Elk Grove Safeway Early Monday Morning

The Safeway grocery store located on Laguna Boulevard was robbed by a lone suspect early Monday morning.

According to Elk Grove Police, an unknown male suspect entered the store just before 3 a.m., confronted an employee, and demanded money. The employee did not see a weapon but feared for his safety and gave the suspect his wallet and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from several registers. 

The suspect was described as being 5`10", approximately 170 to 180 lbs., wearing a red hoodie with dark pants and white shoes. He was was seen getting into a silver vehicle that was being driven by a Black male adult who was wearing all dark clothing.
