A Lodi man was arrested yesterday afternoon on charges of drunk driving and fleeing an accident scene.

According to Elk Grove Police, 44-year-old Daniel Joseph Randall was operating a vehicle on Wednesday, October 18, that collided with another vehicle near Koster Way and Springmont Drive. After the collision, the suspect allegedly drove away from the scene.

Responding officers located Randall standing outside the described suspect vehicle a short distance away. Upon contact, the suspect reportedly displayed objective signs of impairment.

Randall was arrested then transported to the county jail where he remains in custody on a $1 million bail. Arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
