Elk Grove Police Participating in National Coffee With a Cop Day

As part of the National Coffee With a Cop Day, the Elk Grove Police will be holding a meeting this Wednesday.
The nationwide event will be held on Wednesday, October 2. The Elk Grove meeting will be held between 8 and 11 a.m. at Rescate Coffee, 2475 Elk Grove Blvd.
The event provides residents an opportunity to meet with police to discuss community concerns and address any problems they might be experiencing in their neighborhoods.
According to CoffeeWithaCop.com, the idea for the meetings started in Hawthorne, California in 2011 following a brainstorming session on how to improve community relations. Since its inception, the idea has spread with Elk Grove Police participating for at least the last four years.
