Stevante Clark, Brother of Slain Stephon Clark, Arrested and Held at County Jail Ineligible For Bail

Stev'ante Ralonzo Clark, brother of Stephon Clark who was shot and killed last month by Sacramento Police, is in custody after being arrested on two charges.

According to information posted on the Sacramento Sheriff's Department inmate information webpage, Clark, 25, was arrested by the Sacramento Police Department today and booked into the county jail at 12:10 p.m.

The information says Clark is charged with allegedly making felony threats to commit a crime resulting in death or great bodily harm, California Penal Code 422; and misdemeanor charges call 911 emergency services with intent to annoy or harass, California Penal Code 653X(A).

The information says bail has been set at $1 million but also says Clark is not eligible for bail under California Penal Code 1275, based on the seriousness of the alleged crime.

Arraignment is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 20 at Department 60 in the downtown Sacramento Jail facility.

Updated 5:50 p.m. According to Sacramento Police, Mr. Clark was arrested at 10:04 a.m. on the 900 block of Acacia Avenue.  The statement says Mr. Clark was arrested "for criminal threats to another person, felony assault, felony vandalism, and abusing the 911 emergency line.  SPD detectives are conducting additional follow-up related to these crimes and the investigation remains on-going."
