Group of Juveniles Suspected of Two Robberies Outside of Elk Grove Western Festival Opening Night

Elk Grove Police said two separate robberies are believed to have been committed by the same group of juveniles suspects.

Both incidents happened on the evening of Friday, May 4 on Elk Grove-Florin Road near the Elk Grove Regional Park, site of the annual Western Festival. In both cases, a group of male suspects ages approximately 15 to 18 robbed two separate victims.

The first incident happened at 8:48 p.m. on the 9900 block of Elk Grove-Florin. The group of three male suspects attempted to rob the victim of personal property but a witness intervened and the suspects fled. 

A short time later at 9:10 p.m on the 9100 block of Elk Grove-Florin a group of two suspects robbed another victim of personal property after one suspect displayed a firearm in their waistband. After stealing the property, both suspects fled the area.   

The suspect displaying the gun was described as as an African American male, 15-16 years old, 6’0”, wearing a black t-shirt, and blue jeans. 

There were no reported injuries.
