Suspect Arrested by For Alleged Attempted Robbery, Assault at Elk Grove Bus Stop

An Elk Grove man is being held at the Sacramento County Jail after an alleged attempted robbery at a bus stop.
Just after 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 12 the victim was standing at a bus stop near Laguna Park Drive and Laguna Springs and was approached by 26-year old Gabriel Frederick Ortiz (pictured above). The suspect hit the victim several times and attempted to take their property.
Ortiz was located at a different location by responding Elk Grove Police officers and placed under arrest. Arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15.
