Nguyen reports contributions of $25,000 in run for Elk Grove's District 4 seat

In her campaign to win a full four-year term to Elk Grove's District 4 seat, Council Member Stephanie Nguyen reported raising $25,425 for the six month period ending June 30, 2018. The report which was filed with the Elk Grove City Clerk's office showed Nguyen ending the reporting period with $34,253 on hand.

Among Nguyen's 38 donors, 22 were classified as coming from individuals and the balance coming from a variety of business and special interest groups. The five largest business donations were as follows:
  • ABR Investments LLC, Mather California - $2,500
  • BTG EZG Investments, LLC, Mather, California - $2,500
  • LPAS, INc., Sacramento - $2,000
  • Republic Services, Phoenix - $1,000
  • RSC Engineering, Roseville, California - $1,000

Nguyen listed expenses of $6,636 and ended the reporting period with $34,253.  

Nguyen, who was appointed to fill the District 4 vacancy created when Steve Ly was elected mayor in 2016, is being challenged by Cosumnes Community Services District Director Orlando Fuentes. The winner of the contest will be elected to a full four-year term.
