Share ride driver arrested by Sacramento County Sheriff for kidnapping, making threats

A Rancho Cordova man is in custody after his arrest on kidnapping charges.
Mark Filanov, 36, was taken arrested by Sacramento County Sheriff deputies after he refused to release female passenger he was driving as Uber ride-share driver. The suspect is also being charged with making threats of violence.
The arrested stem from an incident in June where Filanov picked up three female passengers in south Sacrmamento and refused to let them out of his vehicle. Following their investigation, detectives sought a warrant for his arrest. 
Filanov was booked into the county jail on Friday, August 17 and is being held on a bail of $375,000. There on no future court dates currently scheduled.
