Teenage suspect with arrest warrant in custody following foot pursuit with EGPD

A teenager was taken into custody after a late evening foot pursuit with Elk Grove Police.
Just before midnight on Monday, September 10, officers contacted the 17-year old male who was in the driver's seat of a car parked on the 2700 block of Elk Grove Boulevard at a closed business. The teen gave officers a false name, then ran away.
After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was detained. A record check revealed he had an outstanding arrest warrant and he was taken placed into custody at juvenile hall.
