After hiding, with the assistance of K-9 two suspects with warrants arrested by Elk Grove Police

October 16, 2018 |

Two suspects with outstanding arrest warrants were taken into custody with the assistance of an Elk Grove Police K-9.

Just after 4 p.m. police attempted to contact Rebecca Elizabeth Curtis, 40, of Elk Grove on the 9600 block of Kent Street for five outstanding warrants dating to 2015. When trying to locate Curtis, officers contacted Amy Lynn Hallanger, 38 who it was learned also had outstanding warrants.

Officers determined Curtis was hiding in the dwelling and after numerous contacts that went unanswered, the K-9 was deployed to locate her. Curtis was arrested and remains in custody at the county jail for the warrants as well for misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement personnel with the arraignment on Wednesday, October 17.

Hallanger is being held at the county jail and has a projected release date of November 5, 2018.
