Voices of Elk Grove Video - NEST member questions Elk Grove on California Northstate University dealings

During the Thursday, February 21 meeting of the Elk Grove Planning Commission, a member of Elk Grove's NEST organization questioned the dealings of Elk Grove city officials.

Speaking to the commission was Daisy Hughes who is a member of NEST - Neighbor Ensuring Stonelake Transparency. That group has organized in the last several weeks to oppose plans by California Northstate Unversity to locate a 270-bed, $750 million dollar hospital in Elk Grove's Stonelake neighborhood.

In her comments, Hughes told the planning commissioners said the group will closely monitor all city dealing with particular attention to those with CNU. Hughes asserted the city was predisposed to support CNU over the interests of Stonelake residents.
