2 probationers in alleged possession of methamphetamine arrested by Elk Grove Police

Two Sacramento men on probation are in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after they were arrested on drug charges by Elk Grove Police.

Just after 10 p.m. on Monday, April 15 police officers contacted Anthony John Bidou, 34, who was seated in a car on the 8300 block of Sheldon Road. Police learned that Bidou was on probation, and a subsequent vehicle search led to the discovery of two methamphetamine baggies.

While searching the vehicle, Gilbert J. Escobar walked by, and officers learned he too was on probation. The officer's investigation connected the narcotics found in Bidou's vehicle to the suspects.

Both suspects remain in custody and have their arraignment on Wednesday, April 17.
