Acting on multiple tips, Lodi Police served a search warrant that led to the discovery of a cache of illegal weapons.
On Monday, July 15, just after 6 p.m. SWAT officers and detectives served the warrant on the 500 block of South Cresent Avenue. During the search, police recovered multiple weapons, including illegally configured assault weapons, a homemade silencer various tools to manufacture weapons and silencers, body armor, magazines, and numerous rounds of ammunition. Detectives also located boxes of parts for AR and AK style rifles.
Joshua Barrington, 43, of Lodi (pictured below) was taken into custody and charged with multiple counts of assault weapons manufacturing, possession of firearms as a prohibited person, possession of a silencer, possession of body armor as a prohibited person and other weapons charges. Barrington is in custody at the Lodi City jail on $1.5 million bail.
