While being placed under arrest on drug sales charges, suspect resists Elk Grove Police


A suspect arrested on suspicion of selling illegal narcotics is also alleged to have resisted Elk Grove Police officers.

Just before 7 p.m. on Monday, July 22, Najiburahman Osman, 34, of Elk Grove was contacted on the 9900 block of Meadow Oak Circle by police after receiving a call for service. Officers reported Osman displayed objective signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

A search of Osam led to the discovery of heroin and indicia related to narcotics sales. While placing him under arrest, Osman alleged resisted their efforts.

Osman is held at the county jail on three misdemeanors and one felony charges. Arraignment is on Wednesday, July 24.
