RV destroyed on 99, Grant Line after hitting big rig trailer

A motorhome was destroyed, but no significant injuries were reported in an early morning accident on Highway 99 in Elk Grove.
Just after 6:05 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, a motorhome going north on Highway 99 just south of Grant Line Road went from the second to the third lane. As the driver was making the lane change, they hit the left rear of the tractor-trailer combo.
The collision ripped the side of the motorhome. A passenger who was lying on the collision side of the motorhome was not injured, and one of two minors in the rear of the vehicle sustained a minor injury.
