Suspect in Elk Grove pedestrian hit and run collision arrested, released from custody



A man suspected of a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian was arrested and released from custody.

According to Elk Grove Police, Kenny Nhem, 37, hit a pedestrian near Elk Grove Boulevard and McKenna Drive during the morning hours of Saturday, August 17. A witness saw Nhem allegedly flee the area.

In the early afternoon, Nhem was arrested at his residence. Nhem was booked into the county jail and released the same day.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
