Alleged reckless driver arrested by Elk Grove Police after found hiding in bushes



A Rio Linda woman was taken into custody by Elk Grove Police after she allegedly operated a vehicle in a reckless manner and then hid following a collision.

Just after 9 p.m. police responded to Bruceville Road and Sutherland Way after receiving calls of a reckless motorist. Officer found an unoccupied vehicle that struck the median.

Nearby officers located Rachelle Nicole Clark, 31 hiding in bushes and learned she had an arrest warrant. When officers attempted to detain her, she allegedly resisted and kicked one of the officers while be placed in the patrol vehicle.

While being processed at the Sacramento County Jail, she also spat at one of the arresting officers. Clark is held on two felony and two misdemeanor charges and will be arraigned on December 11.
