Shooting in Old Town Elk Grove under investigation

A shooting where police initially did not locate any evidence is now under investigation.
Just before 1 a.m. today Elk Grove Police officers responded to Elk Grove Boulevard and Kent Street regarding gunfire. Upon investigation, there was nothing indicating shots had been fired.
Just after 8 a.m. today a caller notified police that bullet holes were found in an apartment dwelling on the 9200 block of the Elk Grove Boulevard. The investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
