Six robbery suspects were arrested by Elk Grove Police after their getaway vehicle suffered a flat tire before the commission of their crime.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on Friday, January 24, the male victim was walking to work near Big Horn Boulevard and Bruceville Road when he was approached by six people who demanded his property. After displaying what appeared to be a bat and a firearm, the victim compliedwith the threats.

After reporting the incident and giving a description of the suspects, one of the patrol officers recalled seeing suspects matching that description at a vehicle that had suffered a flat tire earlier that morning. The officer returned to the vehicle and found the six suspects attempting to fix the tire.

A consent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of the victim’s property and the weapons initially identified as a bat and firearm were a flashlight and a tire iron.
The suspect, Daben Linares, 19, Emmanuel Landeros, 20, Samantha Duran, 18, Adriana Onate, 18, Victor Tapia, 19, and Manuel Ceja-Ochoa, were arrested for robbery and conspiracy. Duran, Tapia, and Landeros remain in custody.
