Left unspoken during this crisis for Mayor Steve Ly is the political fallout on District 1 and 3 candidates, Mr. Ali Moua and Ms. Maureen Craft.
Given Mr. Ly has a superior status, or rank, if you will over his two political colleagues, one would have thought he would consider their political fortunes. By digging in his heels, he has inflicted damage on the prospects for Ms. Craft and Mr. Moua.
Real leadership means putting the needs of others ahead of their own. This obstinance of Mr. Ly is a failure of leadership, not unlike what we see coming out of the Whitehouse on an almost hourly basis.
