Suspect caught on surveillance video arrested by Elk Grove Police; wanted in Oregon




A suspect wanted in connection with an early August trailer theft is being held without the eligibility of bail after a surveillance video assisted in his identification.

The suspect, David Paul Moss, 36, of Sacramento, was taken into custody by Elk Grove Police on Thursday, August 26. Moss is being held on one misdemeanor and seven felony charges including being a fugitive at the Sacramento County Jail as well as seven warrants from Prineville, Ore. 

according to Elk Grove Police, on the early morning of August 8, Moss was seen on video stealing a trailer from a commercial parking lot. Last week as he was leaving his residence, Moss was taken into custody.

A search of Moss' residence led to the discovery of the trailer. One of the felony charges against Moss is for carrying a concealed weapon. 

Moss' next court appearance is on September 2.
