Abraham Lincoln is best known for issuing the Emancipation Proclamation which
began the process of freedom for America’s slaves and for preserving the United
States as one nation.
Because of those
two nation-altering accomplishments, Lincoln is considered one of our greatest
presidents. But, Abe Lincoln was so much more than those two events, especially on issues like scientific discovery.
